Taylor Swift Fans Were Scammed While Buying Eras Tour Tickets In The U.K.

According to The BBC, over 600 Lloyds Bank customers were affected by a terrible ticket scam. Someone messaged Taylor Swift fans on Facebook about tickets and then when the fan sent them money, they never gave them the tickets.

Karen Elrick, who lives in Glasgow, Scotland, spoke to The BBC about her experience and said:

"It's horrible. You just feel very helpless because it's friends of yours that are losing money. They obviously realise quite quickly it's not me that's stealing from them, but it's just not a nice feeling."

Elrick added that someone hacked into her Facebook in December 2023, and after that, a stranger sent her a message claiming that she could purchase tickets to the see the beloved singer. She said that some friends paid £750.

She also said:

"It's totally out of my control and there doesn't seem to be anything that anyone can help with. Nobody seems to be able to do anything. If you see Taylor Swift tickets on Facebook, it's likely a scam."

Since, at the time of this writing, Lloyd Banks reported that Taylor Swift fans had been scammed out of £1m, it seems that it will sadly keep happening until the U.K. tour is over.

"Basically the guard had been harassing our group all night. He just kept telling us not to touch the rail and any time we did anything, he was on top of us."

Then there was the fact that so many Swift fans attended each concert that leaving Swift's concerts was stressful and scary at times. According to The Daily Mail, several fans wrote on social media about being stuck in an overly packed subway station in Sydney, Australia.

A fan wrote, "90 minutes to get to the train and we only made it in time as trains stopped at 12.40am. Hope they are better organised tomorrow night! We got back to our city accommodation at 1.15am!"

Another wrote:

"Please be aware the line to get back on the train is really intense. I almost fainted. It's like being stuck in the middle of thousands of people."

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, packed subways have been a problem in Sydney for a few years now. It's no wonder that trains would be super packed after an epic and exciting Taylor Swift show.

Some Taylor Swift fans said they dealt with "post concert amensia" and had trouble recalling details about the Eras concert they attended. Fadi Tayim, PhD, a Clinical Neuropsychologist, told Premier Health that this is "common" and often occurs when people get married.

Some Taylor Swift fans also had a problem with the way that their fellow concertgoers acted during the Eras tour. According to The Daily Mail, a fan posted a TikTok of someone singing super loudly and wrote, "Don't be selfish. Have concert etiquette please."
