Jury Begins Deliberations In Jimmy Henchman Trial
The murder-for-hire trial of former Czar Entertainment CEO, Jimmy Henchman, concluded yesterday (March 4) in New York City. After a crackdown on his company’s drug trafficking front in June 2012, Henchman was sentenced to life in prison on counts of drug trafficking, the September 2009 murder of Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher and conspiracy charges.
Now, jury deliberations have begun. XXL reports:
“Henchman faces four charges related to the murder-for-hire, while Johnson faces the same four, as well as narcotics and weapons possession charges.According to the U.S. Justice Department, conviction on a murder-for-hire charge could carry a maximum penalty of life in prison or the death penalty if the result of the plot was the death of the intended victim, which, in the case of Mack, is what happened.”
The charges appended the already weighty series of allegations against the music executive, all revolving around a long-winded feud between Czar Entertainment and G-Unit. The public feud between The Game and 50 Cent mirrored a grander dispute between Henchman and Chris Lighty, the late music executive and founder of Violator.
