Most families don't always get along. The reason for this varies from abusive behavior, betrayal, jealousy, or abandonment related issues. When it comes to celebrities, they also have family drama of their own. Some stars haven't been able to forgive their parents for what happened in the past, and refuse to carry on a relationship. The public has seen many examples of this, such as Tori Spelling who didn't speak to her parents for years. However, there have been rifts that were kept private, such as NBA star Kobe Bryant's longtime feud with his folks.
The following list goes into celebs who don't like their parents. In a few cases, some have patched things up and now talk on an infrequent basis. There are also examples of celebs who refuse to talk to their mother or father no matter the circumstance. 13. Macaulay Culkin and Kit Culkin
Actor Macaulay Culkin has been estranged from his father, Kit Culkin, for over 20 years. Macaulay's mother accused Kit of being physically abusive and addicted to alcohol, which resulted in the pair getting a divorce in 1995. Since that time, Macaulay's father has made negative comments about the Home Alone star to the press. According to TMZ, Macaulay's father suffered a massive stroke in 2014, and requested to see him. However, the reunion never happened.
12. Ariel Winter and Chrisoula Workman
Modern Family star Ariel Winter told TMZ that the broken relationship with her mom would probably never be fixed. The teenager accused her mother, Chrisoula Workman, of physical and emotional abuse. Ariel's 35-year-old sister has been her primary caregiver since 2013. Chrisoula claims her daughter's relationship with a man four years her senior was the reason for their estrangement.

Actress Meg Ryan has been estranged from her mother, Susan Jordan, since the 1980s. Their relationship took a major hit after Susan left Meg's father in 1976. The final blow appeared to be after Susan started to attack her daughter's first husband, Dennis Quaid. She wasn't even invited to the wedding. Then, during an interview with People magazine in 1993, Susan revealed she hadn't spoken to Meg in years: "I wish there would be forgiveness. To be frank, I pray for it. It's a painful business to be estranged from your child."

Television host Vanessa Minnillo hasn't spoken with her mother, Helen Bondoc, in over 13 years. In an interview with Radar Online in 2012, Helen said: "I didn’t have a clue that Vanessa was getting married. We last spoke about 12 years ago on the phone. I just wanted to talk to her and tell her everything straight about my life. But I still think about her all the time, and I still love her dearly.” When Vanessa was 9 years old her mother left, forcing the beauty to move in with her father. Helen now lives in a trailer home and hopes the two can reunite one day.

Actress Angelina Jolie and her father, Jon Voight, have always had issues in their relationship. It started in the 1970s after Jon cheated on Angelina's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, with another woman. The pair divorced, and Angelina often argued with her father about her mom. They have been estranged a few times, but are supposedly on speaking terms now. However, Angelina's former caretaker told Radar Online in 2014: "They may never get over the rift between them. It’s not that complicated. She just knows who he is and she doesn’t trust him.”

In 2014, Actress Amanda Bynes told Star magazine "I hate my parents." She also told In Touch magazine that she hated living with them and would have preferred staying in jail. While she still speaks with her mother every so often, Amanda refuses to speak with her dad. They legally control her estate and also pay for her car service according to The Hollywood Gossip. Amanda claims to hate her parents, but they help her out to this day.
7. Demi Lovato and Patrick Lovato
Although singer Demi Lovato's father is now dead, there was a period of time where they didn't see each other for years. In 2009 she told the Daily News that she had to "cut off all connection" because it was too hurtful for her. Her father, Patrick Levato, struggled with a mental illness and she's also admitted to having bouts of depression. Demi said to the Daily News about her father's death in 2013: "There's an overwhelming sense of peace knowing my dad is no longer battling his demons anymore and that makes me so happy."

Actor Corey Feldman went into detail about the alleged abuse he suffered at the hand of his mother, Sheila Kenner, in his autobiography. While doing press for the book, he told The View ladies, "I did have a very, very rough upbringing. I endured a lot of pain in my childhood. I didn’t choose this life. It was chosen for me." The actor's mother denies hitting Corey with a curtain rod, or abusing him in any way. She told Radar Online, "This thing with Corey is getting totally out of hand." Their relationship hasn't ever been strong, which was evident when Corey sought emancipation from his parents at the age of 15.

Singer Adele stopped talking to her father, Mark Evans, after he sold a story about how he left her mother to The Sun newspaper. In 2013, she told Vogue magazine about whether or not she would see him again: “I was actually ready to start trying to have a relationship with him. He’s f**king blown it. He will never hear from me again." Mark was able to reconcile with Adele when she was 15 years old after abandoning her at the age of 3. In an interview with Daily Mail, he expressed wanting to meet his grandson. As of now, there are no reports of the two mending their relationship.

Superstar NBA player Kobe Bryant started having major issues with his parents after marrying his wife, Vanessa. According to Ebony magazine, his father disagreed with the relationship and wanted him to marry an African-American woman. Both of his parents didn't show up to his wedding in 1996. So, it wasn't very surprising that back in 2003 Kobe threatened to sue his parents after finding out they were going to auction his items. Although TMZ reported a settlement was reached, it's clear this family doesn't like each other very much.

Singer Kelly Rowland was abandoned by her father, Christopher Lovett, when she was seven years old. He had problems with alcohol that led to abusive behavior, although Kelly said he never hit her. Christopher has made numerous statements to the media that he wants to reunite with his daughter, but it hasn't happened. In a 2011 interview with UK Cosmo, Kelly said: "He reached out to me saying he wanted to see me, but it’s unfortunate he did it so publicly. I want to meet him, and soon, I really do. I forgave him a long time ago. I haven’t seen my dad for almost 20 years." There have been no reports about a reunion between the two.

Actress Kate Hudson started referring to actor Kurt Russell as her "dad" since the early 1980s. Kate's mother, Goldie Hawn, divorced Bill Hudson and started a relationship with Kurt shortly after. Kate's never had a relationship with her biological father. In 2000, she told Vanity Fair: "He doesn't know me from a hole in the wall. But I don't care. I have a dad [Kurt]." In Bill Hudson's tell-all book about Goldie and his kids, he calls his famous daughter "a spoiled brat." While Kate and her biological father don't have a relationship, they have spoken on the phone since the book's release. It's still clear that she doesn't like him very much.
